PEC History
PEC has been serving the motion picture industry for more than 74 years; the company was set up in 1932 as a manufacturer and supplier to the film industry.
The current management took over the company in 1991.
PEC still retains an interest in the film industry as a major supplier of film consumables including PEC splicing tape, CIR splicers as well as servicing film equipment.
However, today, the business focuses on digital and analogue video equipment, computer editing systems, broadcast studio design, studio integration, studio automation and networking.
Throughout its history, PEC has been situated in London’s Soho which has always been – and remains – the heart of the British motion picture industry. The company's modern offices and showrooms remain to this day in Dean Street, which is centrally located in London's West End.
