Featuring a basic, entry-level range of tools and features, our EDIUS® Neo 2 Booster software is ideal for those new to video editing. Yet, it also provides powerful nonlinear editing features common to all EDIUS solutions, such as real-time, multi-track, mixed-format HD/SD editing, chroma keying, titling, and both Blu-ray disc and DVD authoring.

Built on the same highly-acclaimed technology as our EDIUS application, EDIUS Neo 2 Booster software offers native editing of various formats including AVCHD, HDV, DV, Windows Media, and QuickTime—and provides a seamless, real-time workflow that supports mixing all formats within the same timeline. And you can upgrade it to the full-featured EDIUS editing software at any time.

EDIUS Neo 2 Booster software features a newly developed AVCHD codec engine. Efficient editing is possible while preserving the original image quality, with no loss of resolution or frame rate. Enables real-time playback of three or more streams without special hardware. (Verified in Grass Valley Canopus tests on computers with Core i7 processors.)

EDIUS Neo 2 Booster runs on a laptop as well as a workstation system and can input/output video from any OHCI FireWire (IEEE 1394)-compatible hardware. If you need HDMI and audio monitoring or Blu-ray Disc acceleration support, take a look at the HDSPARK™ and FIRECODER® Blu as options for EDIUS Neo 2 Booster.

Minimum System Requirements

  • Intel or AMD CPU 3.0 GHz or faster. (Multiple CPUs or multi-core CPUs are recommended. SSE2 and SSE3 instruction sets supported. Intel Core 2 Duo or faster required for real time AVCHD editing–Core i7 recommended.)
  • 1 GB RAM (2 GB or more recommended)
  • 800 MB or more free disk space for the software installation
  • DVD-ROM Drive for software installation
  • DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW drive required when creating DVD video with Burn to Disc
  • Blu-Ray BD-R/BD-RE drive required when creating Blu-Ray disc with Burn to Disc
  • DirectX 9.0 or later
  • Graphics card supporting Direct3D 9.0c or later and support for Pixel-Shader Model 3.0 is required
  • For SD editing: 128 MB RAM or larger required; 256 MB or larger recommended
  • For HD editing: 256 MB RAM or larger required; 512 MB or larger recommended
  • Available hard drive space should be twice the size of file to be edited
  • RAID-0 recommended for HD editing.
