The DAC-7L can accommodate two channels of audio input via RCA or balanced XLR and embed them both in the SDI signal, requiring only one SDI cable for both video and audio transmission. The DAC-7L is extremely portable.

XDCAM EX - New Generation HD Recording System
The PMW-EX1 is the first in a new range of professional HD products - called XDCAM EX - which record onto memory-based SxS ExpressCard media. Designed from the ground up to exploit the ultimate high performance of SxS PRO memory cards, the PMW-EX1 combines a state-of-the-art, non-linear XDCAM workflow with simply the best HD quality yet seen in a compact camcorder. It is also the first handheld camcorder to carry the legendary CineAlta 24P brand with multiple frame rate recording capability such as 59.94i, 50i, and native 23.98P, as well being 1080i/720P switchable.

There is also a choice of a 35Mb/s High Quality mode or a 25Mb/s, HDV 1080i compatible mode. To take advantage of this high performance recording capability, the PMW-EX1 uses an all-new imaging system consisting of three ½-inch type CMOS sensors, each with an effective pixel count of 1920x1080 to produce images in full HD resolution. In addition, there's a purpose-built Fujinon Professional HD ½-inch 14x lens and a unique dual focus ring mechanism.

Superb Picture Quality

Incorporating three 1/2-inch type 1.5-megapixel HD CCDs, the HDC-X300 offers outstanding-quality images with a low smear level of -120 dB and a high signal-to-noise ratio of 54 dB.

Progressive Mode

Incorporating Sony’s innovative Advanced Frame Accumulation (AFA) technology, the HDC-X300 can output progressive HD signals (23.976PsF/25PsF/29.97PsF) in addition to interlaced HD signals (50i/59.94i). Interlace and progressive modes can be easily selected from the camera setup menu.

• 50i output mode: 50i or 25PsF selectable
• 59.94i output mode: 59.94i/29.97PsF/23.976PsF (with built-in 2-3 pull-downfunction) selectable

Low-Light Shooting

The HDC-X300 offers two convenient functions for capturing clear images in low-light environments - a Slow Shutter mode and a Gain function - which can be used separately or together. The Slow Shutter mode allows the charge accumulation period of the CCD (typically 1/60 or 1/50 second) to be extended to approximately two seconds (64 frames). The Gain function allows the camera gain to be boosted to +48 dB. When used together, the camera offers a stunning minimum illumination of 0.003 lx.

Remote Control Capability

The HDC-X300 is compatible with the RM-B150/B750 Remote Control Unit, RCP-700Series Remote Control Panel and MSU-700A/750 Master Setup Unit. These remote controllers cover the complete range of control parameters that the HDC-X300 provides, from basic camera control to sophisticated operations.

Optical ND Filter and Electronic CC Function

Optimum light and color control is easily achieved using the built-in optical Neutral Density (ND) filter wheel and electronic Color Correction (CC) function. The HDC-X300 uses electronic color correction to eliminate the need for optical color correction filters. This allows all filters on the filter wheel to be ND types, providing the operator with greater flexibility in depth of field and exposure control.
