The EOS-1D C is designed to perform wherever a scene may take it: hostile environments, very cramped spaces, mounted on the end of extended jib arms, or embedded on-set. For added versatility, record start/stop can be remotely controlled by Canon’s EOS Utility Software via a WFT unit.

Like other Cinema EOS products, the EOS-1D C exhibits incredible low-light performance, helping to ensure optimum image quality under conditions of extremely low scene illumination. When operating in DSLR mode the EOS-1D C offers top-of-the range focusing, exposure, and burst mode.

The Canon EOS-1D C* represents a breakthrough in cinematography in a DSLR specifically designed for video, that is incredibly flexible, rugged and compact. Offering onboard 4K image capture, industry-standard codecs and interfaces, and incredible low light performance, the EOS-1D C helps make 4K filmmaking as creative as you want it to be.

For anyone familiar with Canon’s EOS 5D Mark II or the EOS-1D product line, the compact size and weight of the EOS-1D C will be immediately recognizable. Built with onboard 4K recording at 24P or HD recording at a range of frame rates up to 60p; and Clean HD via HDMI, the EOS-1D C offers additional capabilities for film and TV production as well as specialty image acquisition applications.

Coupled with Canon’s compact EF-mount lenses, the EOS-1D C facilitates 4K image origination in the tightest and most challenging environments, opening up fresh cinematic opportunities along the way.

The EOS-1D C records the 4K signal as a YUV 4:2:2 at 24p Motion JPEG format directly to onboard CF cards. It can also externally record an HD time-coded proxy via HDMI output for use in an offline NLE system. The 4K file can be loaded directly into color grading systems that support the Motion JPEG file format; and the alternative HD recordings (H.264) on the CF cards can also be taken directly into color grading systems.

Equipped with an 18.1-megapixel full-frame 24mm x 36mm Canon CMOS sensor, the camera records 8-bit 4:2:2 Motion JPEG 4K video to the camera's CF memory card at 24 frames-per-second (fps) or Full HD 1920 x 1080 video at selectable frame rates from 24p to 60p, making it possible for next-generation visual expression with even higher image-quality and resolution performance.

The Canon EOS-1D C digital SLR camera incorporates Canon Log Gamma to enable the recording of high-quality video with rich gradation expression, making possible the type of impressive image quality required in motion pictures by maximizing both highlight and shadow detail retention while also providing a high level of color-grading freedom. The EOS-1D C's full-frame 24 x 36mm 18.1-megapixel Canon CMOS sensor makes possible a wide range of creative imaging expression, such as image-blur effects. Additional features include an expanded sensitivity range of up to ISO 25600 for exceptional motion-imaging results with reduced noise even in low-light settings. The camera's ability to record 8-bit 4:2:2 4K and 8-bit 4:2:0 Full HD video to CF cards eliminates the need for an external recorder and enables workflows with increased mobility. If desired, however, captured video (excluding 4K video) can be output from the camera's HDMI terminal to an external recorder using an uncompressed YCbCr 8-bit 4:2:2 signal.

4K video is captured by an approximately APS-H-sized portion of the full image sensor, while Full HD video can be captured in the user's choice of two different imaging formats:

• 1. The standard Full HD setting captures the full 36mm width of the CMOS sensor to achieve the largest possible angle of view for any compatible lens.
• 2. An optional Super 35 crop setting enables cinematographers to match the industry-standard imaging format and angle of view achieved by traditional motion picture cameras. This enables video footage from the EOS-1D C camera to more closely match the look of footage from other cameras in multi-camera shooting environments.

Other useful video-related features on the EOS-1D C DSLR include a built-in headphone jack for real-time audio monitoring, and the ability to view the camera's LCD even when the HDMI port is connected to an external monitor. The EOS-1D C camera uses the same LP-E4N battery pack as the EOS-1D X, and it can also be powered by an optional AC Adapter Kit.

The EOS-1D C camera ships with Canon software applications including EOS Utility, which enables various camera settings to be adjusted from a PC, and Picture Style Editor. These two personal computer applications enable users to view the camera's live output on an external monitor1 and adjust the image in real-time to maximize shooting and post-production efficiencies. The software also ensures no loss of quality for 4K/Motion JPEG and full HD/60p video displayed on the external monitor, and it enables video shot with Canon Log Gamma to be output on the monitor with video gamma applied.

Realizing the same exceptional still-image performance as the recently introduced Canon EOS-1D X digital SLR camera, the camera provides a sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200 for outstanding still-image results with reduced noise, even in dimly lit settings. Incorporating high-performance Canon Dual DIGIC 5+ image processors, the EOS-1D C delivers high-precision AF and AE performance while also enabling high-speed continuous shooting of up to approximately 12 fps. In the ultra-fast continuous shooting mode, the EOS-1D C provides a continuous shooting speed of up to approximately 14 fps (mirror remains raised during shooting; JPEG images only).

Genus Box Plate Adaptor Bars System is specially designed for Canon Cinema EOS Camera (1DC, C100, C300, C500). 

By utilising industry standard 15mm rods, the box plate ensures compatibility with other accessories. You can accessorise your camera with the easy attachment of matte boxes, follow focuses, etc. It is manufactured from aviation grade aluminium that makes the rig both strong and lightweight. 

The GMB-CCP comes with 215mm (8.6") rods and 200mm (8") extension rods as standard and allows mounting accessories on the front and back side of the plate. It mounts to the camera base with 2x1/4" and 2x3/8" camera screws and a pin to suit wide range of cameras. Quick release function was designed for the camera plate. It can be easily attached or detached from the baseplate by rotating the camera plate baffle. The baseplate has standard 1/4" and 3/8' holes on the bottom for mounting onto a tripod.

Using 100% steel ball bearings, the system uses our 100cm (39in) 15mm carbon rails, mounted in a tool-free system that offers amazing flexibility, strength and compactness for travel. The entire system is under 5lbs and can be disassembled for travel in about 60 seconds with no tools.

The Pegasus comes with either the standard 100mm bowl or you can schoose the Proteus Quick Release Base Plate with standard 1/4-20 camera thread, to equip the unit. Please note that the Pegasus does not include the 100mm ball, in case you prefer to work with your own, but the superb low profile Cinevate 100mm Ball can be added as a separate item.

The new, optional "All Terrain" legs give you extra height to deal with uneven ground. The over-molded, non-skid, ball feet are designed to withstand rough ground while being gentle enough not to damage delicate surfaces. With this system you can sit the unit anywhere.

We include 8 "rubber tires" so you can convert the system to table dolly mode with no tools...in about 60 seconds. Order the steel cable wheels and convert the same system (takes about 3 minutes) over for use on overhead cables.

NEW: As of September 2010, Pegasus Carbon units have been updated from eight flanged bearings(1 per wheel), to sixteen (2 per wheel) ABEC specification bearings. You can see how much folks liked the old bearings...the the new system is on the order of 200% more precise!

The system is designed for ultra-smooth movements on loads up to 30lbs using long even long focal length lenses, and will accept heavier loads up to 45lbs with no complaints.

The system uses a highly refined steel ball bearing system. It can be broken down by hand for easy transport. As of June 22, 2010, all Atlas 30 units have a 100mm bowl integrated into them, making the unit lighter, stronger, and less expensive!

This system does not come with a ball. We recommend using the Cinevate 100mm ball which has a short tightening rod, providing you with the clearance needed for desk top applications.

The Genus Bravo Deluxe Follow Focus System is an upgrade from the G-BFOC Bravo Follow Focus System. It features 2 adjustable end stops, 0.8W Pitch Gear, and gear tension adjustment to prevent backlash. Designed for DSLR cameras, the follow focus can be attached to DSLR rigs by utilizing industry standard 15mm rods. 

A 0.8 W Pitch Gear for DSLR is supplied but 0.5 for Canon & Angenieux lenses and 0.6 for Fujinon are also available. The Pitch Gears can be mounted on either side of the gear housing allowing reverse rotation and providing greater flexibility in use with different lenses. In addition to ultra-smooth focus adjustment, a beveled 3D marking disc allows the viewing of the focus marks from different angles, especially useful when working in Shoulder Mount.

Smooth action of the gearbox allows the operator or assistant to pull accurate and repeatable focus. The gear tension can be adjusted if backlash develops. A Flexible Lens Gear is available to cover a wide range of lens diameters. It ensures a perfect match with the Pitch Gear and guarantees a smooth operation

For professionals whose workflow demands video, the D800 offers all the flexibility required for a wide variety of movie applications. It’s large format movie shooting at its best, with a comprehensive variety of frame rates.

Frame rates: Full HD (1080p) movies can be recorded in 30p, 25p and 24p, with 60p, 50p and 25p options at 720p. Movie clips can be up to 29:59 minutes long.

Multi-Format Full HD D-Movie: as introduced with the D4, Full HD recording is possible in both FX and DX based formats, enabling exceptional freedom of expression.

High-fidelity audio control: responding to feedback from the industry, the D800 sets a new standard for D-SLR audio recording, enabling your movies to sound as good as they look. The built-in lithium-ion polymer battery provides more than two hours of charge and, when you need to, you can power or recharge the unit easily from any 12V source. An LED indicates the battery charge level. The battery can be recharged while the converter is in use, so you can work continuously when connected to a power source. You get a DC power supply that includes adapters for international power sockets.

Using precision molded fibre-reinforced composite, the Cyclops sled starts out as a highly engineered foundation for nearly limitless rigging options. The impressive 72mm optic uses several exotic glass elements that are optically bonded, then fully coated for maximum brightness. The optic can be quickly removed and attached to the front of your camera via its 72mm threads. The result is a +5 power macro with resolution to match even full size HDSLR sensors. If you're looking to capture detail like the compound eye elements of a spider, you'll want to try this macro out front! If it's that good out front of your camera, imagine how razor sharp it is out back. Fully adjustable (3 axis) to accommodate even larger cameras like the Nikon D3s and Canon 1D MkIV, the finder does not attach in any way to your LCD. No velcro, sticky tape or elastics!

Its size is 20cm (8") long, 14cm (5.5") at its widest and 7.5 (3") high. Why is Cyclops as large as it is? The answer is immediately obvious when using the finder. Rather than having one eye "locked" to the viewfinder, a shooter can achieve critical focus from as far away as 36" from the camera! Both eyes can be used to frame/focus and there is no need to remove eye-glasses. Unlike typical viewfinders, you might look at Cyclops as an alternative to a monitor as a director and shooter can view images at the same time while using Cyclops! Future proofing (and we know camera LCDs are getting bigger!) is achieved by using interchangeable front/rear hood elements.

Note that for Canon 7D and T2i (which have lower LCD screens) we provide a special shim to raise the Cyclops to optimum height. So when ordering the Cyclops for any of these cameras, be sure to include a brief note in the comments box pointing it out and the shim will be included.

Also note that the sled option is not recommended on any camera with flip-out LCD screens like the 60D or GH1.
